Visionary film director Tim Burton is best recognized for his acclaimed list of whimsical blockbuster movies, he is also an extremely talented artist, illustrator, and author who expresses his personal views of the realistic world through his dark humor and imaginative works. The Hong Kong presentation will stage the nine thematic sections of the exhibition as a journey through Burton’s world. The exhibition design of the separate galleries transforms his motifs and themes into a mysterious environment that befits Burton’s trademark characters. This exhibition unfolds Burton’s surreal world and explores his limitless imagination.

Stretching beyond his array of award-winning films, Tim Burton is an extremely talented artist, illustrator, and author who expresses his personal views of the realistic world through his dark humor and imaginative works.
Presenting Burton’s phenomenal creativity and exceptional vision, “The World of Tim Burton” is a multimedia exhibition that brings visitors into his eccentric world of visual imagination. Curated from the artist’s personal archive, the exhibition is presented in thematic sections that examine his extensive career and showcases over 500 works, including drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptural installations, puppets, and moving-image works, that span from his earliest childhood to his most recent projects.
